Irrigation canal is being cleaned in the village of Kurdgelauri
“Georgian Amelioration” ltd under the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture is actively implementing ameliorative infrastructural projects for increasing water supplied and drained area.
Repair works of Zemo Alazani irrigation scheme are underway in Telavi municipality, Kakheti.
2900 m long reach of main canal is being cleaned from sediment and silt, as well as from household remains in the village of Kurdgelauri.
As a result of the works performed, discharge capacity of the canal will increase thereby facilitating to the increase of water supply regime on up to 500 ha of agricultural land area in the municipality.
Nowadays, total of 37 rehabilitation projects of ameliorative infrastructure are underway all over the country.
