Amelioration canals are cleaned in the village of Old Anaga
“Georgian Amelioration” ltd under the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculure is actively implementing rehabilitation projects of amelioration infrastructure.
Repair works are underway in Signagi municipality.
Drainage canals (with total length of 2.9 km) installed adjacent to the water division box of Kvemo Alazani irrigation scheme are being cleaned from vegetation and sediment in the village of Old Anaga.
Alignment of the canals shall facilitate to the improvement of water supply to 80 ha of fish ponds along with the improvement of drainage service on 120 ha of agricultural land area in the municipality.
The ongoing works on the drainage canals have been commenced by own resources of the company in March and will be completed by the end of April.
As of today, total of 13 rehabilitation projects of amelioration infrastructure are underway in Kakheti region.
