Small sea water inlet box of Tbilisi reservoir is being cleaned
“Georgian Amelioration” ltd under the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture is actively proceeding with the arrangement of amelioration infrastructure all over country.
Rehabilitation has been carried out on small sea water inlet box and canal of Tbilisi reservoir.
Within the project: by-pass canal has been cleaned; cleaning works have been carried out on inlet tower tunnel and gallery; the gallery has been roofed and lined with slabs; embankments across the gallery have been line with concrete slabs.
The works, which currently are on the stage of completion, were commenced by the company at own resources in November, 2019. The works performed will facilitate to the improvement of water supply in the lower main canal of Zemo Samgori irrigation scheme.
Consequently, water supply will be improved on more than 6 000 ha of agricultural land area in Kvemo Kartli.
The project cost amounts to GEL 338 thousand.
David Tsitlidze-General Director of “Georgian Amelioration” ltd has got acquainted on-site with the ongoing rehabilitation works together with the management of respective offices of the company.
