Rehabilitation of drainage scheme in Guria is underway
Rehabilitation of Mtisdzira canal is underway in Lanchkhuti municipality. Section of 17 km long main canal is being cleaned from tree-bushes and sediment.
As a result of the works, discharge capacity of the canal shall be improved facilitating to the enhancement of removal of surplus water from agricultural land plots with total area of 6900 ha.
The project with total cost of GEL 1 527 800 has commenced in July of the current year and shall be completed next spring.
David Tsitlidze-General Director of “Georgian Amelioration” ltd together with the representatives of regional offices has got acquainted with ongoing works and met with local population.
