Rehabilitation of Kvemo Samgori irrigation scheme is underway
“Georgian Amelioration” ltd under the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture carry out rehabilitation of Kvemo Samgori irrigation scheme in Kakheti.
Repair works of water distribution canal are underway in Sagarejo municipality.
Within the project 12 km long reach of the canal has been cleaned from ground and bushes; cast in-situ concrete curb has been arranged. As of present filling and shotcreting of canal slopes and bottom with cast in-situ concrete is underway.
David Tsitlidze-General Director of “Georgian Amelioration” ltd has got acquainted with the ongoing works.
After arrangement of amelioration infrastructure, supply of irrigation water shall be improved on 330 ha of agricultural land area in Sagarejo municipality.
The works have started in July of the current year and shall be completed early 2021.
