Rehabilitation of drainage scheme in Kobuleti is underway

“Georgian Amelioration” ltd actively carry out repair works of irrigation and drainage schemes.

Rehabilitation of drainage scheme in Kobuleti is underway. 7 km long main canal is being cleaned from trees and bushes and sedimentation.

As a result of the works discharge capacity of the canal shall be improved, ensuring drainage of 280 ha of agricultural land area, protection of Kobuleti National Park and part of the town of Kobuleti from flooding during heavy rainfall. 

The project with total cost of GE 342 000 has started in July of the current year and is at the stage of completion.

David Tsitlidze-General Director of “Georgian Amelioration” ltd, Levan Zoidze- First Deputy Mayer of Kobuleti, Zaza Kaikatsishvili- Head of Infrastructure Office and Giorgi Gogitidze – Chairman of faction Georgian Dream have got acquainted with the ongoing works in-situ and met with local population.
