Irrigation scheme will start up in the villages of Khikhani and Shaumiani after 30 years
Implementation of significant amelioration infrastructural projects commence in Marneuli municipality.
Irrigation scheme will start up in the villages of Khikhani and Shaumiani after 30 years. The works which will be initiated in the nearest period envisage construction of pumping stations and arrangement of pressurized pipelines, division boxes, water collecting and other amelioration structures. Shaumiani and Khikhani irrigation canals shall be rehabilitated.
The repaired irrigation scheme shall ensure irrigation of more than 1000 ha of agricultural land area in the municipality.
David Tsitlidze-General Director of “Georgian Amelioration” ltd together with the company management has visited the village Khikhani, met with the local population and introduced them with the scheduled rehabilitation works.
The mentioned project cost amounts to GEL 3 659 900.
