Meeting with local residents of the villages of Savaneti and Talaveri
Otar Shamugia, Director General of "Georgian Amelioration" Ltd. and residents of the villages of Savaneti and Talaveri of Bolnisi municipality held meeting in the headquarter "Georgian Amelioration" Ltd. They discussed the ongoing issues on irrigation systems and the improvement of irrigation services.
The irrigation water is important issue for the population in summer season.
After the meeting the maintenance director of “Georgian Amelioration” Ltd, Kvemo Kartli regional office management and local authorities together with local inhabitants got acquainted with the situation and agreed, that the irrigation water usage schedule must be followed by local residents in order to ensure equally, impartially and optimally water distribution.
As a result of the negotiations, it was decided to mobilize all the resources, so that the population can irrigate their own plots.
Majoritarian MP from Bolnisi municipality - Gogi Meshveliani, mayor of the municipality - Davit Sherazadishvili, local assembly chairperson - Tamaz Zhorzholiani and local self-government representatives attended the meeting with local farmers.
