Rehabilitation of Mtis Arkhi (Mountain Canal) has completed
“Georgian Amelioration” ltd under the Ministry of Agriculture has completed rehabilitation of Mtis Arkhi (mountain canal) in Marneuli municipality. Total cost of rehabilitation works amounts to GEL 3 000 000.
Within the rehabilitation, main canal has been cleaned, new culverts have been installed, and other hydraulic-technical structures have been restored. Nowadays the canal is fully operable. As a result of works undertaken, population of 5 villages of Marneuli municipality will use the rehabilitated irrigation scheme for irrigation of 620 ha of agricultural land area.
Since 2012, water supplied area has been increased from 24 500 ha up to 43 800 ha in Kvemo Kartli region.
As of today “Georgian Amelioration” ltd implements 25 rehabilitation projects of amelioration infrastructure all over Georgia, including 7 in Kvemo Kartli region.
