Irrigation network will be arranged in Tserovani refugees’ settlement

“Georgian Amelioration” ltd will initiate new project for supplying irrigation water to Tserovani refugees’ settlement.

In order to provide detail information on the project, meeting has been arranged with local population, in which Sozar Subari- Minister of Refugees and Accommodation, David Galegashvili -Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Gocha Zeikidze- Governor of Mtskheta-Mtianeti region and Levan Dvali-General Director of “Georgian Amelioration” ltd participated.

“Implementation of this significant project of the Ministry of Agriculture will enable more than 2000 families of Tserovani refugees’ settlement to irrigate 80 ha of household land plots”-David Galegashvili mentioned.

The project with total cost of more than GEL 2 000 000 will be completed by next autumn.

“Local population was using drinking water for irrigation purpose, that, in its turn used to cause drinking water problem. After implementation of this project, irrigation and drinking water problems will be solved”- Sozar Subari-Minister of Accommodation and Refugees mentioned.

According to Levan Dvali- General Director of “Georgian Amelioration” ltd, up to 30 km long water supply main canal and distribution network will be arranged, ensuring supply of each family of Tserovani settlement with irrigation water.
