“Georgian Amelioration” ltd actively carries out restoration-rehabilitation of amelioration schemes all over the country.
In 2018, total of 10 rehabilitation projects of amelioration infrastructure were completed in Kakheti region. Within rehabilitation/operation 175km long irrigation canal was cleaned and arranged, various –type 525 hydraulic works were repaired.
Consequently, additional 2 855 ha of agricultural land area became water covered, supply of irrigation water was improved on 6525 ha.
As of present, 6 rehabilitation projects of amelioration infrastructure are underway.
After completion of the works, 633 ha shall be added to the water covered land area, while drained area will be increased by 3000 ha.
