Meeting in Mtskheta-Mtianeti Municipality
Levan Dvali –Director of United Amelioration Systems Company of Georgia and the company representatives met with Mtskheta-Mtianeti Governor –Nugzar Kipiani and heads of local self-governing institutions.
The meeting was held in Mtskheta-Mtianeti regional administration building, where problems incurred during irrigation season and scheduled projects were discussed.
The parties agreed on close co-operation and locals’ involvement in the process.
Water collecting canals and respective hydro-technical structures were rehabilitated, aqueducts were installed on the territory of Tsilkani, in the area of Lami-Misaktsieli irrigation scheme last year. Total drained area composes 2900 ha.
The list of rehabilitated items include: right and left main canals of Tserovani gravity irrigation scheme; main, secondary and tertiary distribution canals and on-farm network of Saguramo irrigation scheme. Water was supplied to total of 2076 ha of agricultural land plots.
