Modern irrigation methods were introduced to the population of the village Ptsi
For facilitation to the expansion of modern irrigation technologies, information campaign is continued. Another meeting was held in the village Ptsi, Kareli municipality. Representatives of “Georgian Amelioration” ltd under the Ministry of Agriculture made detail presentation for local farmers on drip and sprinkler irrigation methods and their advantages.
This method of irrigation is much more profitable than the traditional flooding method, as it requires twice as little el. energy, water and fertilizers and significantly increases yield.
Levan Dvali-General Director of Georgian Amelioration” ltd, Vakhtang Gardapkhadze-Director of Shida Kartli and Samtskhe-Javakheti region of “Georgian Amelioration” ltd, local farmers and students of Agro-engineering faculty of Georgian Technical University attended the meeting.
