To facilitate to the expansion of modern irrigation technologies, within information campaign this time meeting was held in Kakabeti. Representatives of “Georgian Amelioration” ltd made a presentation on drip and sprinkler irrigation methods and introduced water users to its advantages.
The given irrigation method is much more profitable in comparison with traditional flooding method, as requires twice as little el. energy, water and fertilizers and significantly increases crop productivity.
The meeting proceeded in the regime of question-answer. Nikoloz Kurtishvili-Director of Kakheti region of “Georgian Amelioration” ltd and students of agricultural engineering faculty of Georgian technical University attended the meeting.
