George Chkheidze-Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Archil Bukia-General Director of “Georgian Amelioration” ltd have met with the residents of the village Ditsi of Gori municipality in the Government Administration. Certain part of Ditsi residents have received the information regarding regulation of drinking and irrigation water supply from the representatives of the government.
Agricultural land plots of the village Ditsi used to be irrigated by Kekhvi-Vnati irrigation scheme which currently is situated on the occupied territory.  Nowadays, irrigation water is supplied to the village by pumping irrigation via Arbo-Ditsi pumping station constructed on the River Patara Liakhvi.  In order to increase capacity of the pumping station, an additional pumping aggregate has been installed in 2017.
At the meeting it was mentioned that the facts of damaging the irrigation canal were observed in the village Ditsi in order to seizure water, thereby hindering water supply process of the village.
It was also mentioned that introduction of schedule for irrigation water use was necessary to avoid delay of water supply in the irrigation scheme command area due to lack of water debit.
In the nearest future the meeting with the residents of the village Ditsi is scheduled for additional discussions on the improvement of irrigation service provision.
