Rehabilitation of Khashmi irrigation scheme is in progress
Cleaning works of irrigation scheme of the village Khashmi, Sagarejo municipality have been initiated from the middle of April. After completion of the works, 300 ha of agricultural land area will be supplied with irrigation water. Water supply of the village Khashmi is especially significant as here the unique grape species –Khashmi Saperavi is grown. The works will be completed in middle of May.
David Galegashvili-Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Levan Dvali-General Director of “Georgian Amelioration” ltd have inspected ongoing works.
Since 2012, water supplied area has been increased from 6 000 ha up to 14 00 ha, in Kakheti region.
