Repair works of the River Shola canal are underway
“Georgian Amelioration” ltd under the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture carry out repair works of the River Shola canal, in the town of Khashuri.
1800 m long section of open and buried drains shall be cleaned from shrub and sediment load, while the adjacent territory and infrastructure shall be aligned.
The works shall facilitate to uninterrupted discharge of water in the canal that shall protect the town of Khashuri and central main road from flooding during heavy rainfall.
Otar Shamugia -General Director of “Georgian Amelioration” ltd and Giorgi Khojevanishvili – Governor of Shida Kartli region have got familiar with the ongoing works and met with the locals.
Cleaning works are carried out by own resources of “Georgian Amelioration” ltd.
