Information Campaign by “Georgian Amelioration” LTD is in Process
“Georgian Amelioration” LTD of the Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia continues the information campaign in order to promote expansion of modern methods of irrigation. Within the campaign, water users will get the information about drip and sprinkler irrigation methods.
Today, the meeting has been held in Gardabani Municipality. Representatives of “Georgian Amelioration” LTD made a presentation about the advantages of modern methods of irrigation. This method is much more effective than the traditional gravity flooding method, as it needs twice as little electricity, water and fertilizers and significantly increases crop yield. The Representatives of the Project Management Agency of the Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia, presented the information about the supporting projects of agriculture development to the water users.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture Mr. Gocha Tsopurashvili, the Governor of Kvemo Kartli Mr. Paata Khizanashvili and General Director of “Georgian Amelioration” LTD Mr. Levan Dvali.
After completing the presentation, the meeting proceeded in question-answer regime.
Within the information campaign meetings with the water users will be held all over Georgia.
