Otar Shamugia got acquainted with the amelioration facilities in Kakheti
General Director of "Georgian Amelioration" LTD visited Kakheti region. Otar Shamugia looked through amelioration systems and infrastructural facilities in Dedoplistskaro and Akhmeta municipalities.
Together with the representatives of the regional service, Shamugia also met the locals, where they talked about irrigation issues.
At present ten rehabilitation projects of amelioration infrastructure are being implemented in Kakheti region.
After completion of rehabilitation works, irrigation water supply will be improved at 4 762 hectares of agricultural land in the region. In addition, 2 063 hectares of land area will be irrigated, while drainage works of excess water will be implemented at 3 000 hectares of land area.
