Rehabilitation of regulation hydro unit of The River Rioni
Rehabilitation of Regulation Hydro unit of The River Rioni is underway near the city of Poti. The works were acquainted with the management of "Georgian Amelioration" LTD under the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia.
Rehabilitation works are carried out for regulatory hydro unit, which consists of dam and cross-regulator; damaged electromechanical devices are replaced.
After the arrangement of the river Rioni Regulation Hydro unit, repair works will be provided to secondary structures and the surrounding area will be arranged.
All the necessary works are underway and in case of possible flooding, the structure will be ready to carry the maximum amount of water, so that villages and agricultural areas of the city of Poti and Khobi municipality will not be flooded.
