Rehabilitation of the main canal of Kvemo Samgori irrigation system
“Georgian Amelioration” LTD under the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia continues arrangement of amelioration infrastructure in Sagarejo municipality.
Technical Director of “Georgian Amelioration” LTD Tengiz Lakirbaia acquainted with the works of Kvemo Samgori irrigation system on the main canal.
Arrangement of 3,500 km long section of the canal is ongoing within the work. The area was covered with plants and shrubs, Depreciated canal hadn’t been functioning for years. After the cleaning and organizing of the area, operational road was arranged.
Installation of irrigation constructions and wells is ongoing nowadays. Currently organized main canal of Kvemo Samgori irrigation system will irrigate up to 500 ha of agricultural land in Sagarejo municipality.
