Working meeting in Kakheti
Levan Dvali-Director of “United Amelioration Systems Company of Georgia” and Irakli Shoshiashvili- Governor of Kakheti region discussed prospects of rehabilitation and development of amelioration infrastructure, on the meeting held in Dedoplistskaro.
This year drought has caused number of problems for Kakhetian farmers. Certain part of yield has been damaged. Notwithstanding already performed rehabilitation works on irrigation schemes of the region, natural conditions showed that much more scale arrangements are to be carried out in Kakheti for reduction of negative impacts of disaster to a minimum.
The parties discussed problems that exist on irrigation and drainage schemes of the region, ways of solution and scheduled projects that the company intends to implement with this regard. According to Levan Dvali the company schedules to implement large-scale projects for solution of existing problems on the schemes that will facilitate to the improvement of water supply for annual and multi-annual crops and enhancement of average crop capacity per ha respectively.
Representatives of Amelioration Systems Company and municipalities of Kakheti region attended the meeting.
