Visit in Samtske-Javakheti
The Director of the United Amelioration Systems Company of Georgia and the representatives of the Company had a meeting with the Governor of Samtske-Jabakheti Mr. Akaki Machutadze and the representatives of local authorities.
At the meeting were discussed ongoing and planned projects and arrangement of amelioration systems in the region. The Director of the company was informed about existing problems in the region.
Currently, 29.8km Main pipe and distribution channels are cleaned and arranged. In the Municipality of Ninotsminda Rehabilitation of Orlokva-Spasovski’s channels rehabilitation is completed. AS a result, 2780ha can be irrigated. The rehabilitation of I and other lines of internal distribution channels, rehabilitation of Headworks of Almalo-Murjakheti irrigation system is ongoing. Beside this, rehabilitation works are ongoing at Loma-Turtskhi main pipe channel. After the completion of ongoing works 2820ha of Agricultural area of Akhalkalaki municipality will be provided with water.
