Rehabilitation Works on Kvemo Samgori Irrigation System
The main channel sections of Kvemo Samgori Irrigation scheme are being rehabilitated in Sagarejo municipality. Repair works are conducted on the distribution network of main channel within the project, particularly from G-1 to G-8 sections; Different diameter steel pipes are arranged.
Rehabilitation works of culverts and outlet bridges are ongoing. Rehabilitation of the distribution channel will improve water supply and will regularly irrigate 730 ha agricultural land area in – Giorgitsminda, Ninowmnida and Sagarejo.
The works are implemented by the “Georgian Amelioration” Ltd under the ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture.
Rehabilitation works of Kvemo Samgori irrigation system will be completed in summer 2018.
