Levan Dvali’s visit in Baku

Levan Dvali –Director of United Amelioration Systems Company of Georgia introduced ongoing reforms and already implemented successful projects in the agriculture of Georgia to the participants of the workshop organized by International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), in Baku.

 “Such international forums are serious incitements for agricultural development for each participating country, enabling us to share experience, get practical advices for identification and solution of a particular problem” –Levan Dvali commented on the significance of the workshop, held in Baku.

 IFAD has been operating in Georgia since 2001 and implemented numerous successful projects, including development program for high mountainous regions, which is considered as one of the successful projects by the international experts. Also, certain works have already been implemented by IFAD’s funding for arrangement of amelioration schemes. Currently rehabilitation of 5 items is being carried out. Preparation of design for initiation of rehabilitation works on the 6th item is underway.

Ministers of Agriculture of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Moldova, representatives of FAO, EU, IFAD and other donor organizations attended the workshop.

During the working visit in the capital of Azerbaijan, Levan Dvali held bilateral meetings with his colleagues from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Moldova, where the parties talked about the improvement of investment climate in agrarian sector and necessity of economic growth.
