Modern irrigation technologies were introduced to Gori water users
In order to facilitate to the expansion of modern irrigation technologies, representatives of “Georgian Amelioration” ltd held meeting in Gori, within the framework of information campaign.
At today’s meeting, representatives of the company have made a presentation on drip and sprinkler irrigation technologies and their advantages for the water users.
This method of irrigation is much more profitable than the traditional flooding method, as it requires twice as little water, el. energy and fertilizers and significantly increases crop productivity.
Director of Shida Kartli and Samtskhe Javakheti region of “Georgian Amelioration” ltd, representatives of information-consulting service of the Ministry of Agriculture and municipalities in administrative units attended the meeting.
Similar meetings have already been held in Bakurtsikhe, Kakabeti and Gardabani and are scheduled all over Georgia.
