Rehabilitation of Doesi irrigation scheme
Rehabilitation of main canal and on-farm network of Doesi irrigation scheme is underway in Shida Kartli. In order to reduce leakage losses, cast in-situ concrete is arranged on the canal, dissipating and distribution wells are installed.
As a result of the works carried out, 275 ha of agricultural land area shall be supplied with irrigation water. Population of 4 villages ( Zemo Kandaki, Doesi, Teliani and Khovle) of Kaspi municipality shall benefit from the rehabilitated irrigation scheme.
The works are carried out by “Georgian Amelioration” ltd under the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture.
The project shall be completed in summer, 2018.
