The World Bank will fund rehabilitation of irrigation schemes
An agreement on irrigation schemes development was entered into between Government of Georgia and the World Bank, on November 21, 2014. IDA –the World Bank International Development Association will allocate to Georgia USD 50 million for project implementation. The project envisages implementation of rehabilitation works on Kvemo Samgori (Kakheti), Zeda Ru (Shida Kartli) and Tbisi Kumisi (Kvemo Kartli) irrigation schemes. Levan Dvali –Director of United Amelioration Systems Company of Georgia and the WB experts inspected the abovementioned amelioration schemes.
