Information campaign in Tsilkani
In order to facilitate to the expansion of modern irrigation technologies, “Georgian Amelioration” ltd of the Ministry of Agriculture continues information campaign. Another meeting has been held in the village Tsilkani of Mtskheta municipality. Representatives of “Georgian Amelioration” ltd have made a presentation on drip and sprinkler irrigation methods and their advantages for water users.
This method of irrigation is much more profitable than the traditional flooding method, as it requires twice as little el. energy, water and fertilizers and significantly increases crop productivity.
The meeting proceed in question-answer regime. Vakhtang Gardapkhadze-Director of Shida Kartli and Samtskhe Javakheti region of “Georgian Amelioration” ltd, Koba Arabuli- Deputy Governor of Mtskheta-Mtianeti Region, Zurab Abesadze- Head of Mtskheta Municipality Government, Nikoloz Kiknavelidze –Head of Mtskheta-Mtianeti Regional Division of the Ministry of Agriculture and students of Agricultural Engineering Faculty of Georgian Technical University attended the meeting.
