Rehabilitation of drainage schemes
Ministry of Agriculture and United Amelioration Systems Company of Georgia implement restoration-rehabilitation works of drainage schemes, in the area of Kvemo Alazani irrigation scheme. 300 ha of area of the villages of Gurjaani municipality: Kardenakhi, Bakurtsikhe, Kolagi, Dzirkoki, Chandari, Gurjaani, Chulaki , Kitaani and town of Gurjaani, that have been bogged up for years, will be used for agricultural purpose, after completion of drainage works. The aforementioned area will serve to around 42 300 residents of 13 200 households.
Within the framework of the project, water collecting canal will be cleaned from trees and bushes and sediment. The project envisages rehabilitation of old culverts and arrangement of new ones.
Today, Levan Dvali-Director of United Amelioration Systems Company of Georgia has inspected on-going rehabilitation works in the village Kardenakhi of Gurjaani municipality.
Design for the aforementioned works has been prepared on order of the Company, by the specialist of JSC “Design and Scientific Research Institute of Amelioration and Hydro-Construction of Ukraine”.
Design cost of the item amounts to GEL 3 424 000.
As of today, United Amelioration Systems Company of Georgia implements rehabilitation works on 4 items in Kakheti region.
