Rehabilitation of irrigation schemes in Shida Kartli
Ministry of Agriculture and United Amelioration Systems Company of Georgia actively continue rehabilitation of irrigation and drainage schemes.
The Company carries out rehabilitation works of canals and arranges stationary pumping stations for supply of irrigation water to agricultural land plots of the villages of Zeghduleti community: Kirbali and Bershueti, located adjacent to the border line of Tskhinvali.
Irakli Siradze-Deputy Director of the Company has inspected ongoing works today.
Within the framework of the project, new pumping stations will be constructed, design section of earth canals will be restored, and division boxes will be arranged.
As a result of aforementioned works, total of 200 ha of agricultural land area of the villages Kirbali and Bershueti will be irrigated, thereby benefitting 200 households.
Rehabilitation works at the value of GEL 1 942 700 were initiated in the end of 2014 and will be completed in 2015.
United Amelioration Systems Company of Georgia carries out rehabilitation works simultaneously on 10 different items in Shida Kartli, within the framework of modernization of amelioration schemes.
