Rehabilitation of Mashveli irrigation scheme has been completed
“Georgian Amelioration” ltd under the Ministry of Agriculture completed rehabilitation of Mashveli irrigation scheme, in Tskaltubo municipality, Imereti region. Within the rehabilitation, 96 km long section of main, secondary and tertiary distribution canals has been restored.
As a result of undertaken rehabilitation works, total of 4 750 ha of land area has been supplied with irrigation water, thereby benefitting population of 12 villages. Total cost of the project amounts to GEL 3 491 548.
Otar Danelia-Minister of Agriculture, Paata Nadiradze-First Deputy Governor of Imereti region and Levan Dvali- General Director of “Georgian Amelioration” ltd have inspected the rehabilitated irrigation scheme.
Since 2012 present, 14 rehabilitation projects of amelioration infrastructure have been implemented in Imereti region. As a result, water supplied area has increased from 970 ha up to 12 000 ha, drainage – from 1 200 ha up to 4 400 ha.
As of today, “Georgian Amelioration” ltd implements 24 rehabilitation projects of amelioration infrastructure all over Georgia.
