Supply of irrigation water on 4075 ha of agricultural land area will be improved in Kvemo Kartli
"Georgian Amelioration” ltd is rehabilitating main canal of Khrami Canal irrigation scheme in Marneuli Municipality. 11 villages of Bolnisi and Marneuli municipalities (Tcurtavi, Farizi, Kizilajlo, Tamarisi, Tsereteli, Sabirkendi, Algeti, Tazakendi, Azizkendi, Algeti vineyard, Keshalo) and adjacent territory of the city of Marneuli and industrial facilities will benefit form the scheme repaired.
The works performed will facilitate to the improvement of water supply on 4075 ha of agricultural land area in the region, which will significantly increase quality yield.
Tamaz Mgebrishvili- General Director of “Georgian Ameloration” ltd got acquainted with the ongoing works together with Giorgi Dokhturishvili -State Representative in Kvemo Kartli, and other representatives of local government.
The cost of the project amounts to GEL 4.4 million.
The works will be completed by the end of the current year.
It should be mentioned that as of today, 7 ameliorative infrastructural rehabilitation projects are underway in Kvemo Kartli region, after completion of which, 1,885 ha of agricultural land area will be regularly irrigated.
