Tengiz Nasaridze participated in the forum dedicated to the Water Day
Tengiz Nasaridze- General Director of "Georgian Amelioration" Ltd participated in the forum dedicated to the World Water Day, held at the Technical University of Georgia.
In his speech, Tengiz Nasaridze spoke about the challenges facing the irrigation sector and the importance of rational use of irrigation water.
"Due to climatic conditions, more importance is paid to the efficient use of water resources. For saving the existing resources, it is necessary to intensively introduce modern technologies in the field, which means both drip irrigation systems, having already been well approved worldwide and new irrigation systems and devices as well that allow reduction of water discharge”- Tengiz Nasaridze mentioned.
Tengiz Nasaridze also spoke about the importance of construction and rehabilitation of reservoirs in the country and focused on the need and necessity of young, qualified staff in the sector.
Heads of sectoral organizations and scientists participated in the forum held at the Technical University of Georgia.
On March 22, according to the decision of the General Assembly of the United Nations, the World Water Resources Day is celebrated. The purpose of establishing and celebrating this day is to remind the world community once again how important it is to take care and protect water resources.
