Amelioration canals are being arranged in the village of Vakiri
"Georgian Amelioration" Ltd continues to improve amelioration infrastructure in parallel with the irrigation season.
In the village of Vakiri, Signagi Municipality, cleaning works of the irrigation scheme are underway.
Double-purpose, 3500 meters long drainage and irrigation canals are cleaned from sedimentation, trees and bushes.
The ongoing works will facilitate to the smooth discharge of water in the canal that will ensure protection of 120 ha of agricultural land area in the village of Vakiri from excess water, and supply of irrigation water to 45 hectares of land.
The works carried out by “Georgian Amelioration” will be completed in mid-June.
