The ongoing amelioration projects in Marneuli
General Director of “Georgian Amelioration” LTD, along with the deputy directors, was in Marneuli Municipality, where rehabilitation of amelioration infrastructure is actively ongoing.
Rehabilitation works are carried out on the damaged main canal of the Khram-arkhi irrigation system, the bottom and slopes of which are reinforced with concrete, hydraulic structure is under rehabilitation and gabions are made.
Repair of damaged sections of Khram-canal irrigation system will improve water supply at 4,075 ha of land area.
Archil Bukia got acquainted with the restoration works of the Sadakhlo irrigation system, where the damaged areas of main canal are under rehabilitation – the cracks are filled, new slubs are installed and the borders are made.
Also sediment cleaning works of the main canal are ongoing. As a result of the implemented activities, water supply will be improved in Marneuli municipality on the 3,835 ha of land area.
,,Georgian Amelioration” LTD under the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia is conducting infrastructural works, as well on the main canal of the Aghmashenebeli irrigation system in Marneuli municipality; The hydraulic construction is being repaired. The main canal is cleaned and rehabilitated. The arrangement of Aghmashenebeli irrigation system will improve water supply on 1,886 ha of land area.
